GENERAL INFORMATION

Approximately 75 percent of the patients admitted to the Wildlife Care Clinic suffer traumatic injuries related to human activity.

A few of the causes:

• Car collisions
• Hunting and trapping accidents
• Power line electrocution
• Window collisions
• Abandoned fishing line
• Wire fencing

Since our opening in 1984 we have treated thousands of animals giving them a second chance at life.

We have had or are currently caring for many types of Iowa's animals, such as bald eagles, red tailed hawks, barred owls, coyotes, river otters, mink, and white tailed deer.
